Mehmet Okur is going to be playing for the Utah Jazz next season. The Jazz offered Memo a 6 year 50 million dollar contract. That is a lot of money for someone who could not get off the Piston's bench in the postseason. Maybe, just maybe, the Pistons had a lot more talent than people were saying during last season.
Mehmet is a restricted free agent, but there is no chance of the Pistons matching this deal. We offered Memo about ten million dollars less money. The early word on Memo's possible replacement is Antonio McDyess. I am not sure what I think about that, but he used to be very good. He will not have to do much on the Pistons squad. I believe it would be a good fit for McDyess, but not sure it helps the Pistons team all that much.
Early word is that the initial meeting with Rasheed went well. I will not stop being extremly nervous however until I hear Rasheed accepts our offer. The god damn Knicks possibility really scares me. PLEASE STAY SHEED. PLEASE. Lets prove this is no fluke.
McDyess to the Pistons? Where you hear that? Followed McD pretty closely this year, as he killed me on fantasy. Started coming on in the last coupla weeks. If he has even 75% left, that would be a very solid pick up for the Pistons. Either way, I definitely think its worth the gamble.

I read it in a Detroit newspaper website. It said that he soon will be visiting Detroit I believe. I believe we will get him for the exception (about 5.5 mill)
